The hotel is ideally situated just minutes away from the Train Station, Asda, and McDonalds, making it convenient for guests. The rooms are spotless and contain everything you need, with excellent Wi-Fi connection. While the friendly staff at the Ship Inn offers a lovely dining experience, there was a delay in room readiness upon arrival due to a mix-up with cleaning staff.

The hotel was like a mini apartment, equipped with everything we could need. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. The location was perfect, with a small car park behind the property and the train station right next door. Additionally, we could easily reach the shopping center, the harbor, and the maritime museum on foot.

The room was a bit cluttered with a fridge and microwave but still had enough space to move around. It was clean, the beds were comfy, and the little treat box was a nice touch. Good for a base if you plan to be out most of the time.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, they could be more courteous of guests who wish to stay until check out at 10:00 am. The maintenance personnel were exceptionally hospitable and personally kind.

The location was great, so handy to shops, the train station, and the town center. We were near the railway station for a trip to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. Although we expected a better view, the proximity to amenities balanced it out.
